This series is based upon a particular fundamental or fundamentals. Screens in this particular series are much more complex than the Sector and Industries series. Some of the portfolios in this series have more than thirty rules. This model is based on Warren Buffett. We draw on inspiration from his work and put emphasis on rational valuation, strong returns on capital, decent growth, financial strength and stability. After our initial screening process we then place the qualifying stocks into our Growth-Quality-Value ranking algorithm to find what we consider to be the top ranked stocks. These stocks are then placed into our technically based momentum algorithmic program which triggers buying and selling points; when a stock’s resistance or support level is broken then a buy (broken-resistance) or sell (broken-support) signal is created and a trade is signaled. We then execute the signaled trade on the first trading day of the week. Occasionally, we will replace “non-active” stocks with the current highest ranked stock using the same method as described above.
